Santana da Azinha em Honra de Nossa Santa Ana – Santana da Azinha

A traditional three-day summer festival featuring religious traditions, regional street music, and local food stalls. Friday evening begins with a candlelit procession and a solemn Mass, followed by a live performance from Banda Kalyente at Largo do Mercado. Saturday is packed with a morning village parade by Banda Filarmónica do Fratel, a midday solemn Mass and procession at the main church, and an afternoon street parade with Bombos Da Borga Infernal and Grupo de Concertinas Safurdão. Saturday afternoon also includes children’s inflatables, traditional games, and fresh crepes, toasties, and bifanas at the food stalls, leading into evening entertainment by Banda Fréquence, headliner Chris Ribeiro, and DJ Haven. Sunday wraps up with late afternoon animation by Leonel Figueiredo at the church square, followed by a community grilled sardine feast with free bread and wine, and closing musical entertainment by Leonel Figueiredo and Johnny e Varza at Largo do Mercado. A cocktail bar and a bazaar operate nightly throughout the event.
