Festa em Honra de Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes – Outeiro da Maceda

Celebrate sacred maritime traditions and community life at this three-day festival held near the monument of Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes. Each day begins with a traditional dawn awakening, leading into evenings packed with diverse musical acts. The entertainment features live performances by singers Estevão Oliveira, João Belo, and Carlos Soares (visiting from the United States), alongside traditional sets from Conjunto Típico Sto. André, a lively show by Zé Fadoxa com Bailarinas, a headline concert by Bruno Silva Banda dos Estados Unidos, and a performance by Duo Patrick. A stunning midnight fireworks display lights up Saturday night. The festival’s rich religious and cultural highlights include a blessing of the boats at Cova do Chegado, an outdoor mass at the monument grounds supported by liturgical choirs, and a solemn procession moving to the Igreja Matriz da Murtosa, all beautifully accompanied by the Banda Filarmónica de S. Tiago de Lobão.
