With 12 editions, there are 4 days when, on the 3rd weekend of July, the city returns to the medieval era, with a great party of historical recreation and every year with a different theme, highlighting moments that marked the time in Leiria.

Kings and queens, nobles, merchants, commoners, artisans, mystics and craftsmen revive medieval times in the historic centre of Leiria, a stage that returns to the old days.

It is the return to a time when Leiria assumed a decisive role in the construction of Portugal, where there is no lack of entertainment, spectacle, music and animation.

In order to strengthen the cultural identity of the municipality, Leiria Medieval is full of activities for the whole family and for all ages, including gastronomy and stalls selling handicrafts and traditional arts products.
