Festas em Honra de Sr. dos Aflitos – Tojal, Porto de Mós

Enjoy four days of lively community celebrations, music, and great food at the Tojal summer festival. The event kicks off on Friday evening with the opening of the festival grounds (arraial) and bar serving spit-roasted pork shank (pernil no espeto), followed by a mass, a candlelit procession, and a set by DJ Sousa. Saturday evening offers dynamic performances by Key Love and Berra DJ’s. Sunday is packed with activity, starting with a traditional dawn awakening (alvorada) and street parade (peditório) by the Banda Filarmónica de Porto de Mós, a classic motorcycle tour (Passeio de Motoclássicas), a solemn mass and procession honoring Sr. dos Aflitos, the traditional flag-handover ceremony (Entrega da Bandeira), and an evening show by Pedro Nobre. The festivities conclude on Monday night with a live performance by Vir’ó Baile, a raffle draw, and a grand closing fireworks display.
