Converto Comemorativo do Dia do Concelho – Penamacor

Penamacor will mark Council Day, celebrated on June 1, with a Commemorative Solemn Session on May 31. The program starts at 16:00, with a musical moment in charge of the Polo de Penamacor of the Foundation Music and Dance Academy, followed by the start of the session, in the Noble Hall of the Steps of the Council, which includes the awarding of Silver Degree Good Service medals to the workers of the Penamacor Municipal Council who, for a period of more than 20 years, have performed their functions with attendance, dedication, zeal and competence, and of Municipal Merit – Silver Degree to Armando Gertrudes Martins, for the meritorious work developed in the promotion and dissemination of contemporary art, which results in the increase of the prestige of council.

The program continues, then, at 21:30, with a concert with Rita Guerra, Luis Trigacheiro, Flávia Pereira, the Ensemble Ibérico and the Philharmonic Band of the Village of João Pires, at Largo do Castelo, located in the Historical Zone of Penamacor. This concert will feature a carefully selected report, which will offer an authentic parade of hits for all ages, from Disney’s enchanting hits to Rita Guerra’s unforgettable themes and Luis Trigacheiro’s remarkable songs, to international classics that continue to delight generations.
