Exposição de pintura “Pessoas e Lugares” – Caldas da Rainha

Andreia Domingos develops her work from photographic references, primarily exploring realistic painting and drawing. The human body emerges as a central element, serving as a starting point for a visual investigation into presence, shadow, and memory.
Working mainly in acrylic, on a small to medium scale, her works reveal meticulous attention to detail.
In the exhibition “Pessoas e Lugares,” on display at the Art4family Gallery, she presents a selection of realistic paintings inspired by people and spaces from her daily life, bringing together different series:
Caldas Late Night – based on photograps from the 2025 edition of the event;
Peniche – a series dedicated to landscapes, particularly the sea, where the human presence continues to subtly mark the compositions;
Memórias – a set of works based on childhood photographs, seeking to rescue and give new life to personal memories;
Corpo e Sombra – figurative paintings in black and white, centered on the body, the silhouette, and light and shadow, exploring the fluidity of the image.
