Festa em honra de Santa Margarida – Fundada

This four-day festival takes place from August 21st to August 24th, 2026, in the parish of Fundada, located in the municipality of Vila de Rei (Castelo Branco district). The event is organized by the villages of Fouto, Silveira, and Ribeira.

The detailed program includes:

• Sexta, 21 (Friday, August 21):

  • 17:00 – Opening of the festival grounds, bazaar, and terrace (Abertura do Arraial, Quermesse e Esplanada).

  • 22:30 – Performance by Banda Kabull (with stage truck).

  • 24:00 – Performance by the headline artist Saúl.

  • 03:00 – Remember the 90’s & 00’s party.

• Sábado, 22 (Saturday, August 22):

  • 12:00 – Opening of the festival grounds and terrace.

  • 14:30 – VIII Motorized Vehicle Tour (VIII Passeio de Motorizadas).

  • 19:30 – Evening Mass in honor of Santa Margarida (Missa Vespertina).

  • 20:30 – Opening of the traditional bazaar (Quermesse).

  • 20:45 – Performance by the concertina group Grupo de Concertinas da Casa do Benfica da Vila de Rei.

  • 22:00 – Performance by Villa D’El Rei Tuna.

  • 23:00 – Performance by Banda Alta Ligação (with stage truck).

  • 03:00 – DJ Hugo Rafael.

• Domingo, 23 (Sunday, August 23):

  • 12:00 – Opening of the festival grounds.

  • 14:00 – Traditional cake collection (Recolha das fogaças) accompanied by the Filarmónica União Sardoalense.

  • 15:00 – Solemn Mass followed by a religious Procession (Missa Solene e Procissão).

  • 17:00 – Cake auction (Leilão das Fogaças), opening of the bazaar, and children’s entertainment with inflatables near the market.

  • 17:30 – Torneio de Sueca (Traditional card game tournament).

  • 19:00 – Performance by Rancho Folclórico Flores da Primavera da Ortigosa – Leiria.

  • 20:30 – Performance by the Orquestra Tradicional da Escola de Música de Vila de Rei and the Coro D’Ol Rei (from the Municipality of Vila de Rei).

  • 22:00 – Music and entertainment with Banda Cosmos (with stage truck).

  • 03:00 – Late-night Karaoke with Luís Karaoke.

• Segunda, 24 (Monday, August 24):

  • 12:00 – Opening of the festival grounds and terrace.

  • 16:00 – Rally Paper event.

  • 19:00 – Thanksgiving Mass (Missa em Ação de Graças).

  • 20:00 – Opening of the traditional bazaar.

  • 20:30 – Local folklore memories with Rancho da Fundada.

  • 22:00 – Performance by organist Graciano Ricardo.

  • 24:00 – Raffle draw (Sorteio das Rifas), nomination of the new 2027 festival committee, and continuation with Graciano Ricardo.
