SUMMARY:Rock na Vila 2025 - Vila de Rei
DESCRIPTION:The Rock na Vila Festival celebrates its twentieth edition this year and already has a set date: on the 6th and 7th of June\, big names in national music will once again perform at the Vila de Rei Fairgrounds. \nOrganized by the Municipality of Vila de Rei\, the 2025 edition of the Festival features as main attractions VAN ZEE and GNR \, among other names that will also present high-quality shows to the thousands of festival-goers expected at yet another Rock na Vila. \nThe 20th Rock na Vila Festival will feature the following program: \n  \nJune 6 – Zebra Libra; Van Zee\, DJ Fernando Alvim; DJ Beatz \nZebra Libra are a band from the North of the country\, with experience on big stages and an infectious live presence. They describe their sound as “melodic\, energetic and huge” and present a show with great sound and visual moments. \nVan Zee was born on the island of Madeira and is known for his innovative and authentic sound\, which has been a major attraction for young audiences. His authenticity and strong presence on social media have been key factors in the exponential growth he has had in recent years. Songs such as ‘Alma Nua’\, ‘Tempo’ and ‘Amar de Cor’ are well-known songs among the national public and will certainly be heard at this 20th Rock na Vila. \nOpening the Festival’s electronic tent\, DJ Fernando Alvim \, a renowned name on Portuguese television and radio\, returns to a stage he knows well and is guaranteed to bring entertainment to the dance floor. \nThe closing of the first night of the Festival will be in charge of DJ Beatz \, who will entertain festival-goers until the early hours of the morning. \n  \nJune 7th – UZOHMS; GNR; DJ Ana Isabel Arroja; DJ Ceadas \nUZOHMS are an original band from Terceira Island\, in the Azores\, that mixes rock with humor\, using many expressions and sayings from Terceira in their compositions. They currently have 2 original albums released: “má fogo te pego” and “rabo torto” and\, since their founding in 2018\, they have played on the 9 islands of the Azores\, with trips to mainland Portugal and to the Azorean communities in the United States and Canada. The release of their third original album is scheduled for the first half of 2025. \nGNR (acronym for Grupo Novo Rock) is a Portuguese pop rock band\, formed in Porto in 1980\, and currently composed of Tóli César Machado (guitar\, keys and accordion)\, Jorge Romão (bass) and Rui Reininho (vocals). They were one of the bands resulting from the so-called Portuguese Rock boom of the early 1980s and which continues to this day with great success and recognition in the Portuguese market. \nSongs such as ‘Dunas’\, ‘Efectividade’\, ‘Sangue Oculto’\, ‘Pronúncia do Norte’ or ‘+ Vale Nunca’ are already classics of Portuguese music and are usually part of his repertoire at concerts. \nDJ Ana Isabel Arroja returns to Rock na Vila\, opening the second night of the Festival in the electronic tent\, and promises to present great rock sounds to the Festival-goers present. \nClosing the twentieth edition of the Festival\, DJ Ceadas \, from the municipality of Vila de Rei\, will be responsible for livening up the tent until the early hours of the day. \nEntrance to the 20th Rock na Vila Festival is free\, as is the campsite\, which offers excellent conditions for those who wish to camp and enjoy the event to the fullest. \nInhttps://www.facebook.com/festivalrocknavila you can follow all the news about your Festival. \nThe Rock na Vila Festival is nominated for the Iberian Festival Awards\, awards that distinguish the best music festivals in Portugal and Spain\, in the categories of “Best Medium Sized Festival”\, “Contribution to Sustainability”\, “Best Hosting and Reception” and “Best Live Performance”\, thanks to Bispo’s performance at the last edition of the Festival. \nAll Festival-goers are invited to vote for their favorite events\, and can do so until January 17\, 2025\, athttps://pt.surveymonkey.com/r/2025_nominees .
